Road Renovation Project in Tyngsborough Turns into Nightmare for Residents

A road renovation project in Tyngsborough, intended to improve the infrastructure of a peaceful neighborhood, has turned into a series of problems, leaving residents furious and calling for immediate action from local authorities.

Earlier, certain sections of the road were ripped up and renovated due to their deteriorating condition. However, during the final phase of the project, an unexpected issue arose. While the crew was applying the final coat to the road surface, one of their street sweepers experienced a malfunction and became inoperable.

This vehicle predicament posed an immediate challenge for the crew as it remained immobile on the road for an entire day. To make matters worse, the sweeper started leaking hydraulic fluid, which seeped onto and through the road, causing significant damage to a large section of it.

Although an effort was made to rectify the situation by replacing the damaged portion of the road, the oil resurfaced as a noticeable puddle after rain. This raised concerns among residents about potential environmental issues, as the oil could pose a threat of contaminating a nearby homeowners’ pond.

Residents have expressed their disappointment with the crew’s apparent lack of effort in cleaning up the mess they created, with one resident stating that the workers “left the job unfinished.” As the project neared completion, the true condition of the road was revealed. Instead of the initially intended result of a smoother and safer driving experience, the road has become more treacherous and uneven.

Now, residents who were hopeful for improved road infrastructure find themselves navigating through an even worse condition, fearing damage to their vehicles and encountering safety hazards due to the large amount of gravel remaining on the road.

In addition to the disastrous state of the project, a homeowner has lodged complaints about workers urinating on their property. One unfortunate incident involved a 17-year-old witnessing a worker urinating in a bottle.

Despite the gravity of these incidents, homeowners in the affected neighborhood feel ignored as their attempts to seek resolution from the town authorities have so far gone unanswered.
